3D Digital TV on Sky Cards - 5th Aug 2009
After tasting success through the Sky+HD service, the company is now planning to launch a 3D digital TV.
Around 1313 million customers joined Sky TV last year. This latest Sky Offer has led to the doubling up of the number of customers joining Sky+HD, as it will then be the only TV service offering 3D technology.
The company managing director, Brian Sullivan, further commented that they would also be introducing video-on-demand service to complement Sky+ and Sky Anytime service.
Sky also offers broadband and home phone service. Recently the digital TV giant announced an increase in customer take-up, wherein 16% of the households were using all three services of the company.
Sky News was recently the latest channel to be earmarked for future HD broadcasts by the digital TV organisation, with the relaunch scheduled to take place in Spring 2010.
