With the Standard Sky box you get an on-screen easy to use guide to find out what’s playing. You also have on-screen reminders of your shows that prompt you to watch your favourite show. You also get parental controls that let you fine-tune the channels your kids can watch. You can also send e-mails, play games and shop through Sky Active. You can find shows fast with an onscreen programme guide by name or type. You can use your PIN to censor what your kids are watching.
With many shows you can add sub titles and audio descriptions too. You have a personal planner you can add to or edit, so you never miss out on your favourite shows. Interactive screens let you shop, play games and place bets. During some shows you can avail of the red button that switches between different camera angles. You can even switch between different events being screened on the same channel at the same time. The Standard Sky box is of 329mmX 70mmX 276 mm, has 2 SCART connections to the TV and 2 phone audio outputs.
Sky Standard Box Packages
Sky offers the Standard Sky box, is available free if you buy a single box, with a £60 set-up for new customers. An additional box with Sky Multiroom will cost you £49 along with £9.75 as charges for Multiroom subscription. Monthly fees are zero if you’re a Sky TV customer. You can access your chosen TV package and the Standard Sky box offers parental controls.
Your Sky box offers should be connected to a fixed telephone line for 12 months. You must be a citizen of the UK and over 18 years of age to apply for a Sky Standard box. It just can’t get easier than this! With Sky’s there’s ample flexibility to find the combination that’s right for you.
