TV prices to be increased by September 1st, confirms Sky TV - 14th Aug 2009

The channels are divided into ‘packs’ depending on the type of programme to be viewed. The price rise will be by £1.
The price of the packs has been raised depending on the number of packs that have been chosen by the customer. Users having 1 pack will have to pay £17.50 a month, whereas formerly they were paying £16.50 for the same. Subsequently users of 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 packs will now have to pay £18.50, £20, £20.50, £21.50, £22.50 per month respectively.
Sky World which was priced at £46 will be increased to £47.50 per month. This package includes all the six packs, all the Sky movie and sports channels.
Sky also offers broadband and home phone service. Recently the digital TV giant announced an increase in customer take-up, wherein 16% of the households were using all three services of the company.
One of the latest Sky Offers is the £25 Tesco gift voucher for customers opting for Sky before 27th August, 2009.
